A childhood photo is the starting point for a journey through time and space. The child’s figure, until now frozen in the picture, steps out of the paper and walks into a world made of metal pieces and wire. It gradually changes identity , shape and role as it travels from one jewellery piece to the next. It influeces and is influenced by its environment. As the journey continues, the bond to its previous states is sometimes barely recognizable. Time slowly changes and mixes everything and the child - a persistent, abstract presence - is simultaneously the viewer and the subject of this procedure.
